Homelessness

Homelessness is a complex issue that doesn’t have one cause or one solution, which means that while there are things that need an immediate fix - access to shelter, food, case workers, access to medical care, drug counseling - there are several long-term solutions that need to be found. In our case, I believe that taking a hard look at mental and behavioral health, domestic and child abuse, housing, employment, and substance abuse services could being to help us unravel this problem.

"It is hard to argue that housing is not a fundamental human need. Decent, affordable housing should be a basic right for everybody in this country. The reason is simple: without stable shelter, everything else falls apart."
