Marion County has the double benefit of access to I-5, the lucrative economic backbone of the west coast, and incredible agricultural opportunity. This means we stand to benefit from proximity to Portland, tech sector growth, and the increasing overflow from the silicon forest, but also through increasing innovation in agricultural production. Capitalizing on these opportunities and establishing a clear path for clean energy jobs are important, but perhaps even more important than that are the small business opportunities we can encourage and foster through tax incentives, small business start-up programs, and effective partnerships within industry and development.
